The ring of kinship can be customised to specific roles which assist a player by giving certain bonuses when exploring dungeons. This is a members only function; free-to-play players receive the You must be on a member's server to use this function message in their chat box if they choose the "Customise" option. There are twelve roles, divided into four categories: Melee, Ranged, Mage, and Skiller. The player can initially only use one role at a time, with each role having the ability to be upgraded up to tier 10, similar to items in the Dungeoneering skill. Every time the ring is upgraded, it requires a specific amount of Dungeoneering tokens, shown below. Also, even though a role might be selected and "in-use," it must be worn to receive that bonus.
Finally, each player has the option to reset their classes. This will reset all roles and refund all tokens. The first reset is free, and the Rewards Trader sells additional resets for 50,000 Dungeoneering tokens.

Secondary role[edit | edit source]
Players can use a secondary ring role if they have completed at least Daemonheim easy achievements by right-clicking the "Switch-to" button within the Ring of Kinship interfaces. The secondary ring's strength is determined by how many achievement sets have been completed:
- Easy - +25%
- Medium - +50%
- Hard - +75%
- Elite - +100%
For example, with a tier 10 secondary Blitzer ring and Easy achievements complete, the ring's effect gets reduced to a 12.5% accuracy boost (one quarter of the original amount). This allows players to combine rings to make fighting more efficient. For example, a ranger may want to use the Sniper ring for its accuracy boost (assuming they are using a bow) with the Keen-eye ring to reduce their target's defence. A mage may want to use the Blitzer ring for its accuracy boost with a Blazer ring to deal additional damage to targets.

To get all classes of the ring to the maximum level would require 3,878,850 tokens, equating to level 110 Dungeoneering, assuming the player has not spent any tokens elsewhere.

Chance of applying Combust effect to your target, which deals 5 hits of 100 damage, for 500 total. Like Combust, it is doubled if the target moves. Upgrading your Blazer ring's tier doesn't affect the amount of damage the Combust effect deals; it is a fixed amount. Upgrading the ring only increases the chance of the ring taking effect.
