Job Title: Campus Minister, Operations

Ministry/Department: Multisite

Reports to: Campus Pastor

Status: Full-time, exempt

Objective

The goal of this position is to equip the saints for the work of ministry and the discipleship of The Church of Eleven22\u00AE church family. This position will partner with the corresponding Campus Pastor to shepherd the flock.

Key Responsibilities

• Model spiritual intensity in, and assist in the execution of, weekend worship gatherings\u2014requests could include stage communication, prayer and anointing, preparing of worship spaces
• Conduct general ministerial responsibilities alongside the Campus Pastor and ministerial staff to shepherd and care for the local congregation. Requests will include:
  • Aid in the officiating and execution of weddings and celebrations of life
  • Devote time weekly to hospital visitations, ministerial counseling and ministering to those in need
  • Provide the sacraments of baptisms and communion
• Lead in the disciple-making journey of the congregants of the church by helping individuals identify their spiritual gifts and equipping the saints with the skills necessary to accomplish the ministry at hand. This will include:
  • Teach baptism classes, covenant membership classes and facilitate Discover Eleven22
  • Meet weekly with serve staff to pray with, disciple and empower them for ministry
  • Lead serve staff huddles at each service to educate, inform and inspire serve staff
• Collaborate with Central Ministries to deliver ministry at the local level through the equipping of congregants. Key central partners to include Operations Director, Facilities Director, Safety & Security Director, Events & Hospitality Director
• Build, lead, and shepherd serve staff teams to accomplish the ministry objectives of Nehemiah and campus operations (IT, facilities, events and weekend operations)
• Lead in the stewardship of campus resources through the day-to-day oversight of staff calendar, management of campus budget, facilities and office administration to include assisting Campus Pastor in calendaring and communication with key campus leadership (deacons, vision ambassadors, covenant members, etc.)
• Other duties as required by the Campus Pastor

Education and Experience

• 3-5 years of ministry leadership experience, including experience managing teams, volunteers and/or ministry areas
• Bachelor\u2019s degree required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is full-time with expected work hours to include all worship gathering times (typically Thursday and Sunday).

• Weekly rhythms:
  • Monday, Wednesday and Thursday work in and around campus office
  • Tuesday work in and around Central offices located at San Pablo Rd and Beach Blvd (In Jacksonville, FL)
  • Nights as needed for events and disciple groups

The church has several big events, (\u201CAll-Skates\u201D) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and in and out of congregant\u2019s homes. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

This role is primarily a sedentary role, but some activity is required surrounding event set-up and execution. Some travel will be required.

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
